We also have to work hard to earn the Speciality Grade! A term first used in 1974 to describe beans of the best flavour which are being produced in special microclimates. According to the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA), coffee which scores 80 points or above on a 100 point scales is graded as ‘Specialty’. All of our coffees are organic and speciality single origins, an accolade which we’ve worked hard to earn!
